Ebbs and Flows.

..the way that things rise and fall in any situation..

ree

We all experience ebbs and flows in life. The highs, the lows..The exciting days, the seemingly dull, routine days. What kind of day is it for you? No matter what day or season of life you may find yourself in at this present moment, my prayer is that you always remember that your response will determine what happens next. In the previous post, “The Key to Favor”, we talked about the importance of obedience and how Esther’s responses led to favor. Things seemed to be going well, really well! She had just become queen.

Then..the plot thickens.

We all have those moments, right? Things are going well until..we receive an unexpected call from a loved one..we learn that we have to re-take a class we studied so hard for..delays, unplanned and unwanted circumstances. These disruptions are moments that truly test our faith and what we believe.

In Esther 3, we learn of a disruption in the kingdom. After Esther became queen, Mordecai (Esther’s uncle) refused to bow down to Haman, one of the king’s highest-ranking officials. Haman responded by creating a plan to destroy Mordecai and all of the Jews, including Esther. And of course, because of his high ranking, the king signed the plan into action…unknowingly placing his beautiful queen, her family, and her people at risk.

All of these things led to one of Esther’s biggest assignments (check out Esther 4 for a sneak peek)…This fragment of Esther’s story reminds us to appreciate the ebbs and flows of life, the disruptions, and moments we consider dreadful. Because in those moments, we just may discover some of our life’s greatest assignments. And our response will determine what happens next, not just for us..but those connected to us as well!

I’m learning that I must trust my faithful God when he allows disruptions in my life.

Same for me, whewwww!!! :). I'm also learning that there are hidden messages in disruptions. Sometimes it takes time to understand the message but there is always a purpose in the pauses of life! 💛
