He’s Already There

God speaks in the middle of the unknown because He’s already there.
He’s. Already. There.
Sometimes life moves so fast that I feel like I need to put on my skates just to keep up. Things change. Situations happen outside of my control. Responsibilities pile up. And before I know it, I’m trying to move faster, think faster, fix faster, and figure out what comes next.
But God reminded me: I don’t have to catch up to a place where He already is.
Hebrews 13:8 tells us, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” My Pastor recently reminded us that God is ever-present. He is not limited by time like we are. He is God over our past, present, and future—and nothing I encounter catches Him by surprise.
Before I arrived at this moment, He was already here.
Before that situation changed, He was already there.
Before I knew what I would need, He already knew.
And somehow, He takes the pieces from every season—the things we understand and the things we don’t—and use them for His glory. That means we don't have to speed up just because life does. Instead, we can rest.
We can slow down enough to hear Him speak in the middle of the madness. Looking to our faithful Father, trusting Him to take care of what we cannot control. We can release the pressure to have everything figured out because our future isn't waiting for God to arrive...He’s already there!
So when life gets busy, uncertain, or overwhelming, I’m reminding myself: Dominque, you don’t have to chase what’s next. Rest in the One who is already there.
And maybe you need that reminder today too.
We don’t have to catch up. We don’t have to rush ahead. We can rest—because God is already there. 🤍
