In the second semester of my doctoral program, I thought that the three-year program would never end. After enduring long nights of writing papers, discussion boards, and group projects, I did it. I graduated! I recall feeling the same way while laboring with my oldest daughter. After 24 hours of pain and discomfort, a beautiful baby girl was born.
There are times in our lives when we experience intense discomfort and think we won't make it, but we do. Situations like mounting debt, unemployment, loss of a loved one, health diagnosis, challenging child, or divorce. You name it.
Author Russell Sabella is credited for the quote "So far, you've survived 100% of your worst days". You have! We survive our worst days and times because God promised not only to go before us, but also to be with us.
Deuteronomy 31:8 says, "The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”
Whatever situation you are in right now, you are surviving. Whether it has been hours or years, you are going to make it. This is your reminder that you are not alone and that God is with you. Take a moment to close your eyes, take a deep breath, and feel His presence. God is there. Keep going, my sister, God is with you.

Thank you for this beautiful reminder! He’s there. Period.
Such a simple, profound truth! God is with us! Through it all, no matter what it is. So grateful for this reminder today and the strength to put one foot in front of the other because He is with me! Thanks for the encouragement.
Amen, thanks for the encouragement!
