Have you ever thought about how you feel when you speak highly of someone? How about when you share the accomplishments of your spouse, children, grandchildren, or best friend? I can feel the smile all the way up to my eyes as I beam with pride, and my heart overflows with joy. It's not just for them, but because I know them. We are connected. They are mine.
I get that same feeling, only magnified when I proclaim who God is or what He has done. No matter if I'm talking to Him in prayer or rehearsing all that He has done to someone else, I find myself overjoyed. It is a reminder to myself that I am connected to an amazing God. He is mine, and I am His. No matter how I was feeling before, my heart fills with joy to speak well of my father, God.
Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: ~ Psalm 103:1-2
Let's take a moment and bless the Lord together.
God is faithful and trustworthy. He is holy and righteous. No sin or darkness can be found in Him. His thoughts and plans towards us are good. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He is love. He is alive, seated on the throne, and in His sovereignty is in control of everything. Because of who He is and who He says we are in Him, we have no reason to fear. He is our shepherd, so we shall not want or lack. He is a good, good father, healer, restorer, keeper, heart mender, and mind regulator. He is our peace in chaos. He is the Lord, strong and mighty. He is our joy in sorrow. He has no rival and is victorious in every battle. He is the soon-coming King of kings and Lord of lords. He is our Savior and Lord. He is God.
How are you feeling? Keep going! Bless the Lord for who He is and what He has done for you.

Such a powerful reminder to pause and tell the Lord thank you! So many times I am zipping throughout my day and miss moments to pause and focus on all that the Father is, is doing, and has done! Thanks for the reminder today.
